A Lithuanian man has been charged with conning two large US technology firms into wiring him $100 million using an email phishing scam. According to the BBC, Evaldas Rimasauskas tricked staff into transferring the money by posing as an Asian-based manufacturer. Although the companies were not named, they were described as US-based multinationals with one operating in the social media space.

Several of Microsoft’s online services suffered outages yesterday for several hours across the UK, Europe and the US. According to the official website, the services which were impacted included Outlook.com, Office 365, Xbox Live gaming and Skype.
